Drawing on my ancestral roots, I am Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of “Hyyge” (hue ga) where cozy, warm, and restful meets simplicity, community, art, and the natural world.

My Story

It’s quite simple, really. My whole life I have felt like we need to create spaces of Calm and Rest in our lives in order to know ourselves, be our true self, and give back to the from a “full cup.” 

I am always finding ways to weave in these moments into my personal life and my professional life. It makes perfect sense to offer these little rituals of self care to clients in the salon and my fellow hairdressers.

I believe that the time has come to create the experience of getting your hair done, and getting to do your client’s hair, as a wellness ritual. Bringing a mindful approach to your hair experience elevates the appointment and adds a certain quality of LIFE to all we do in your session. Where else can you be the center of someone’s attention while they are totally invested in helping you feel beautiful and love yourself? Well…ok, a massage appointment. Let’s have more of those too!

As a Conscious Hairdresser I am dedicated to personal growth, becoming a kinder human, uplifting my hairdressing peers, and doing great hair while I am at it.

With decades of experience in the beauty and wellness fields, I am uniquely qualified to invite you to experience the atmosphere of mindfulness that I have created for you. Constantly seeking ways to practice self care and being educated as an artist in my field means I can stay present to my craft, do what I love, and be grateful for a life well lived.

My product partnerships reflect a bias towards the natural, organic, and cruelty-free as well as high quality results. I strive for a balanced approach to all my choices at the hair studio and in life.
